Details for 2016 Volunteer Orientation Meeting:
Date: Tuesday May 3
Time: 6pm until 8pm
Place: OUR NEW LOCATION: Laroche Park field house
See link to Google map on the right. Laroche Park is the yellow star.
The park is located at Stonehearst Ave and Burnside Ave./Bayview Rd., 1 block north of Scott St (access from Scott St. via either Carruthers or Bayview). The field house is on the west side of the park near Stonehearst Ave. Street parking is available. Snacks & drinks will be provided.
In addition to the usual volunteer topics, the Sexual Assault Network (http://www.sanottawa.com/) to attend and provide a 20 minute presentation, where they will share information on how we can all help make Westfest a safer place for all volunteers and festival-goers. For long-standing returning volunteers: if you have too many past year Westfest t-shirts and would be willing to donate them, please bring them with you to the May 3rd meeting. I’ll explain more when we get there.
